Fitness blogger killed by whipped cream canister

The name Rebecca Burger has hit the headlines after she was tragically killed at the age of just 33.

But who was she and how did she die? Here’s everything we know about her…

Rebecca Burger was a French blogger who was killed in a tragic accident.

The 33-year-old wrote about fitness and training as well as food and lifestyle.

The health guru had her own YouTube channel with around 2,000 subscribers, and boasted 159,000 followers on Instagram.

In addition to blogging, Rebecca also modelled, including for health and fitness retailer Women’s
Best, who posted a touching tribute online after her death.

The company said: “We are sad to have to announce the loss of this wonderful soul. Our French athlete Rebecca Burger died yesterday.

“Rebecca was a great athlete and a kind and generous person with whom to work.

“Pray for her to rest in peace and for her family to remain strong. We will always be proud of you Rebecca.”

She was also known to participate in worldwide fitness competitions, according to NBC, most recently placing eighth in the Arnold Classic held in Columbus, Ohio.

Rebecca Burger was tragically killed by an exploding whipped cream dispenser, her grieving family revealed.

She had a heart attack after being struck in the chest by the gadget at her home in France on June 18.
Relatives announced her death in a post to her 200,000 fans on Facebook and Instagram who followed her regular health and exercise posts.

Calling her death the result of “a domestic accident”, the family also posted a snap of a gas-powered whipped cream canister similar to the one that struck her.

They warned followers to avoid using the siphons, of which they claimed there were “tens of thousands of faulty devices” on the market.

The post read: “This is an example of the cream siphon which exploded and hit Rebecca’s thorax, causing her death.

“The siphon which caused her death was sealed. Don’t use this product in your homes! Tens of thousands of the faulty devices are already in circulation.”
