TIME Just Gave Trump an Ultimatum Over Faked Magazine Covers

TIME Magazine just formally put in a request for Donald Trump to remove the fake covers of the magazine that feature him from the displays on the walls of his golf clubs.

Time’s request comes after an earlier report by the Washington Post explained how Trump had doctored the fake magazine covers and framed them in the halls of Trump-owned golf courses in America, Scotland, and Ireland. On the cover of the magazine, the headline reads “Donald Trump: The ‘Apprentice’ is a television smash!” It is still unclear as to who created the fake magazine covers, but it has been confirmed that Trump created “fake news” and a fake cover of himself and attempted to pass it for the real thing in various office displays .

The magazine’s cover is dated March 1, 2009, which is on par with the premiere of Trump’s television show “The Celebrity Apprentice,” but TIME’s spokeswoman, Kerri Chyka, confirmed that the issue, in fact, never existed.

“I can confirm that this is not a real TIME cover,” Kerri Chyka wrote the Post via email.

Trump previously exaggerated about how many times he had actually appeared in the magazine during a press conference last year, but in reality, he only appeared on the cover once in January of 1989.

“I think I was on the cover of Time magazine twice in my life and like six times in the last number of months,” Trump boasted. “So you tell me which is more important, real estate or politics, OK? I have six for politics and I have two for real estate or whatever they put me on for.”
